The Overland Park Soccer Club invites all players who will play U9 and older and interested in playing premier/competitive soccer for the Fall 2012 season to our open try-outs.

U8 Scrimmage Event

The Overland Park Soccer Club is holding an open scrimmage for U8 teams and players to assist coaches and players with their decision on playing recreational or premier/competitive soccer for the Fall 2012 season.

U8 Scrimmage Event
Friday May 18th, 2012
Overland Park Soccer Complex, Field 2

Overland Park, KS 66221
4:30pm to 6:00pm

Preference for scheduling and placement for the event will be given to teams and players in the following order:

Current OPSC U8 teams and players
Former OPSC teams and players; playing in other clubs/leagues
Non-OPSC teams and players

Availability for this event is limited.

U7 teams considering playing “a year up” may attend.

OPSC Goalkeeper Academy

The Overland Park Soccer Club and Chris Lawson, Head Coach of 5 time Missouri State Champion Rockhurst High School Soccer, are proud to present the OPSC Goalkeeper Academy.

This academy is targeted to Overland Park Soccer Club players in the U8, U9, U10 and U11 age groups. Coach Lawson will focus on basic and advanced techniques of the position including proper positioning, protecting the keepers body, receiving and distribution of the ball and communications.

Our keeper academy will be held May 7, 8 and 10, from 6:00pm to 7:30pm at Roe Park. Space is limited to 15 players and we are encouraging coaches and parents to attend with their players to learn training techniques for their goalkeepers.

Cost for The OPSC Goalkeeper Academy is $85.00 and includes a goalkeeper jersey.
Deadline for registration is April 27, 2012.
